Description[]
Guild are associations created by players, allowing people to represent themselves as a group as well as take advantage of mantra-based buffs. Guilds are an influential part of Deepwoken and a lot of Talents and Mantras can be enhanced or require a guild member in order to operate. (i.e. Rally)
Once you are Power 8, a guild can be founded for free by talking to the Guild Clerk in the Guild House at either Etris, west of the compass tree (big white tree) in the center, at Summer Isle in the Inn, or at Fort Merit. Talking to the Guild Clerk will prompt you with a window that allows you to name your Guild, set its primary color and make an emblem.
Emblem Customization[]
On changing and creating an emblem, you'll be given a screen with four controls. Two of them change the icon you will have on the emblem, with the other two being color customizers, one for the background and the other for the emblem itself.
The guild color you chose becomes the color of your sails, and the emblem you make will be on the flag of the ship. The guild emblem will also be showcased on Guild Banners.
This emblem will be shown next to the guild name on the playerlist, on your sails, and on your Guild Banners. The colour used will become your sail colour, and your guild banner colour.
Members[]
Once you've founded your guild, you are given the Guild Officer tool. This tool allows you to invite, promote or exile a member from your guild. If your guild leader has been terminated from Roblox, permanently banned from Deepwoken or has left the guild, you can reclaim leadership at a Guild Hall.
Within a guild there are four ranks;
- Guild Leader
- Can use Chime of Dwelling and Guild Officer abilities, can invite, promote, and kick out Guild members and officers. They can demote and kick people manually by using Guild Officer on the desired person. Or can use it remotely within Guild Base by clicking on it and typing in the name of who they want to kick.
- Guild Lieutenant
- Can use Chime of Dwelling and Guild Officer abilities, can invite, promote to Officer, and kick out Guild Members by using Guild Officer on the desired person.
- Guild Officer
- Can use Chime of Dwelling and Guild Officer abilities, can invite and kick out Guild members by using Guild Officer on the desired person.
- Guild Member
- Cannot use Chime of Dwelling nor Guild Officer abilities, and must buy Dwelling Charms to summon a Guild Base.
Members of a guild including its leader will stay in their guild after death and/or wiping. Currently you can either get exiled by someone with the Guild Officer tool, or leave by talking to the Guild Clerk.
Benefits[]
- Being in the same guild as someone with a spawned boat will allow you to spawn on their boat upon dying or resetting your character. You also spawn in the Guild Base if you have the Quarters room.
- Nemesis, Radiant Kick, Taunt, Mani Katti, and Ankle Cutter doesn't proc on guildmates, this assists with ganks and dungeons.
- Canor's Innate Talent and the talent "Give and Take," makes you deal and take less damage from any allies.
- Resurrection and Linkstrider allows you to see your Allies health bars. Know that not all of your guildmates may be considered as an "ally". To set someone to ally forcefully, you can make a vow of allegiance with them.
- Shout feature, allowing you to read and send messages between any guildmate or allies via Vow of Allegiance in the server.
- In public servers, shouts are sent by prefixing "!" (without quotation marks) to your messages.
- In instanced servers (including Dungeons), any message will be sent to anyone inside without needing to prefix an exclamation mark.
Trivia[]
- Guilds can be seen like Houses from Rogue Lineage, another game by Monad Studios.
- There are two guilds that players can join by talking to an NPC: The Divers, this guild is joinable by talking to Akira in the Celtor Wastes, travelling to Castle Light and asking him to join; all your current and future characters obtain the Deepbounds origin (YOU DO NOT NEED TO ACCEPT THE INVITE FOR THE ORIGIN), and the Knives of Eylis guild which you can join by talking to Eylis, The Punished Dreamer and asking to join the Knives of Eylis as a guild.
- If a Guild Leader leaves the guild, an Officer or higher can take their place as the Guild Leader. If there are no Officers or higher ranks in the Guild, anyone in the Guild can take ownership. You must go to the guild NPC to claim leadership once the guild leader has left; it's not given to anyone randomly.
- Guild bases can be summoned by using Chime of Dwelling or Dwelling Charm near a wall. However not all surfaces can be used to create a door, the criteria requires that the space must be big enough, not in a voidzone/dangerous area, there are no hostiles nearby, you are not in a town you are an enemy of, and the space is not sloped.
- Guild bases require a massive amount of notes but can prove worth the large grind, as well as being much easier in bigger guilds.
