As you travel up Route 302, only a few minutes from Portland, you will enter Windham and North Windham, the gateway to Maine’s beautiful Lakes Region. Thriving with shops, restaurants, lobster pounds and hotel lodging, Windham is a great destination for boaters and beach lovers. It is also home to Big Sebago, which is the feature fresh water here – Maine’s deepest lake, and second largest to Moosehead Lake.
