The Ford Mustang Mach E is a new all-electric model from Ford, competing in the ever-popular compact crossover market. The car's name is slightly confusing, as most people will associate the Mustang name with the iconic 1960s muscle car. Despite this, you can see the current Mustang's styling has been emulated in this model. The rear end in particular does look very Mustang-esque with similarly designed rear lights.
There are various options available, from the 88 kWh rear-wheel-drive model capable of a claimed 350 miles to the fastest four-wheel-drive, twin motor version capable of 0-60 mph in just 5.5 seconds. The base model begins at $43,895 and offers a 247-mile range. The car provides reasonable space for 5 adults, given that the electric motors negate the requirement for a transmission tunnel that usually impacts on rear legroom. The cargo capacity is slightly disappointing, with the trunk providing 402 liters. The "frunk" provides an additional 81 liters. As a package, the car is a fairly attractive proposition, however, we'd be tempted to buy some of these used 2010 SUVs instead.

10 Audi Q7
The Q7 was a seriously good-looking car for its time. First launched in 2006, the radical design was Audi's first foray into the SUV market. The 2010 model year is a great proposition, having received a facelift in 2009 which revitalized the car's looks. Three rows of seating made it ideal for families, and with 18-inch wheels as standard, it was a looker on the school run.
The entry-level car came fitted with a 3.6-liter V6 engine. Producing 280 hp, the Q7 could go from 0-60 mph in 8.2 seconds, with a 130 mph top speed.
9 Volvo XC90
The First generation Volvo XC90 was produced between 2002 and 2014. The car represented the brand's first attempt at building an SUV. What a first attempt it was, the car was a massive success globally with over 62,000 examples being produced. Volvo sales in North America increased by 21% in the car's launch year.
The XC90 has crowned North American car of the year 2003. The 2010 model year is a great year to purchase, following a 2007 facelift. In 2010, painted wheel arches became standard, and a modernized Volvo badge was added to the grille.
8 Land Rover Range Rover
The 2010 Range Rover or L322 as it is also known, is arguably one of the best-looking Range Rovers ever produced. This third-generation Range Rover had a production run lasting from 2002 to 2012. The car remains popular today, with Jeremy Clarkson still running one on and around his Cotswold Farm, as seen in his hit Amazon Prime show "Clarkson's Farm."
The 2010 model year saw a large-scale refresh. Aesthetically, the exterior was refreshed with a new grille and LED accents on the front headlights. The rear lights similarly saw an LED upgrade. The interior gained a raft of improvements, primarily to switchgear, and two new petrol V8s were introduced.

7 BMW X5
The first BMW X5 was released in 1999. The second-generation or E70 was released in 2006. 2010 saw the addition of an "M Performance" version. Unveiled at the New York Auto Show, the car drastically increased the performance credentials of the X5.
The car was fitted with a BMW, twin-turbo, 4.4-liter V8 engine. Linked to a six-speed M Sports automatic gearbox, the car produced 555 hp.
6 Porsche Cayenne
Released to mixed opinion in 2003, the Cayenne was a divisive car. Many Porsche purists felt it was inappropriate for the brand to branch into the SUV market. Today, we know the Cayenne has been hugely successful for Porsche, and many other sports and supercar brands have produced their own SUVs.
2010 was the last year of production for the first-generation car. Consequently, cars of this year should be among the best versions produced, having had any teething issues sorted out.

5 Land Rover Discovery 4
The Mk4 Land Rover Discovery was an excellent all-around vehicle. It truly satisfied buyers from a range of markets. The car had genuine off-road ability, boasted a luxury interior, and offered seven seats. It was a compelling package.
The 2010 model saw the release of an improved diesel engine. Compared to the previous 2.7-liter unit, power was increased while fuel economy also improved. A series of ride improvements were also made, helping the car drive more compliantly on the road.
4 Mercedes-Benz G Class
The Mercedes-Benz G Class or G Wagon as it is commonly known has been in production since 1979. The car was originally designed as a military vehicle but has been refined each generation to be the luxury car it is today.
The car was offered in two special edition versions to celebrate 30 years of production in 2009. The "EDITION30" focussed on improving luxury, while the "EDITION30.PUR" improved off-road ability.
3 Volvo XC60
Following on from the success of the XC90, Volvo decided to compete in the compact luxury SUV market. Released in 2008, the XC60 has been one of Volvo's best-selling models.
The 2010 model year saw the release of the more aesthetically pleasing "R Design" model. As well as visual improvements, the car's chassis and damping system were stiffened.
2 Lexus RX
The Lexus RX aimed to bring luxury to the crossover market, the first model was released in 1998. The third, much-improved model was released in 2009. The 450h hybrid version was fitted with a 3.5-liter V6 mated to two electric motors, producing a total of 300 hp.
0-62 mph was possible in 7.8 seconds. Reassuringly, Lexus has always fared well where reliability is concerned.
1 Infiniti FX
Nissan's rival to Lexus, Infiniti, launched the luxury focussed FX in 2002. The second generation was released in 2009, bringing with it drastically improved styling. Similarly, the interior was also upgraded, and the level of luxury increased. Higher quality materials such as stained maple wood and stitched leather were incorporated.
As standard, the car came generously equipped. Notably, an 11-speaker, 300-watt Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, heated front bucket seats, and UV reflective glass were all included.
