Spice up your Slimming World diet with this syn free Prawn Dopiaza. Juicy prawns smothered in a tomatoey sauce. You can still have your Curry Night with this Indian fakeaway.
If thereis one thing that I miss since being on a Slimming Worlddiet is takeaways. Whether its Chinese, Italian, Indian or a good old burger and chips, I miss it! In my previous life before Slimming World I would have happily just picked whatever I wanted to eat without a second thought to how many calories it contained. If I wanted it, I had it. Its not until you take your booklets home after your first class that you realise just how many calories (or syns) your favourites have.
Keen for a KFC? A Zinger Tower Burger is 31 syns and that’s without any fries (that’s an extra 10.5 for regular fries). A Romana pizza fromPizza Express is 47 syns and chicken Chimichangas from a Mexican restaurant is 37.5 syns. So they are all huge amounts of syns and that’s without adding any sides, sauces and alcohol into your dining experience.
Seeing as I love seafood I decided to give a prawn dopiaza a try and I wasn’t disappointed. Although it has a bit of a kick to it, it wasn’t too spicy but feel free to adjust the spice quantity according to taste. It is Syn free and you could serve it with either boiled rice or you could even use cauliflower rice if you are having an Extra EasySP day.
Even though I didn’t really start back on plan properly until Monday I did manage to lose 2lbs this week making my total loss to date 10.5lbs. I’m still more or less on plan but still have moments where I hear a packet of crisps calling out my name from the cupboard to be eaten. Hopefully I can reach my one stone target in the next couple of weeks.

Looks delicious Denise! Glad you are finding a way to recreate your fave takeaways! I think my diet days are behind me, but I still remember how badly I craved fruit when I was doing low carb! Congrats on meeting your goals, you are doing great! xo
