If your unit’s light bar is flashing blue, this indicates that the waste drawer is full. Empty the waste drawer, press theResetbutton, then press theCyclebutton.Learn more.

If your unit's light bar is blue with one flashing yellow light next to the Connect button, this indicates that the unit is in onboarding mode and waiting to be connected to the app.Learn more.

If your unit’s light bar is flashing red, this indicates that a cat (or weight) has been detected for over 30 minutes.

If your unit’s light bar briefly flashes red when you press any button, this indicates that the unit is actively in Control Panel Lockout Mode. This mode disables the buttons to prevent accidental changes to the unit.Learn more.

If your unit's light bar is red with a partial flashing yellow light, this indicates the Globe is jammed or overloaded, and the motor will stop. The unit will retract and try to continue cycling.

Why is my Litter-Robot stuck on a flashing cycling light? ›

Flashing slowly (about once per second) means the Litter-Robot clean cycle was interrupted. Your cat may have tried to enter the unit as it was cycling, and was detected by the built-in cat sensor; this caused the unit to pause its cycling. It will resume cycling 15 seconds after the cat leaves the globe.

How do you know when to empty a Litter-Robot? ›

Empty the waste drawer when indicated by the app or the flashing blue light on the control panel. How often you empty the waste drawer depends on the number and size of your cats. For two average-sized cats, twice per week is typical. For a single cat, once per week is usually sufficient.

Cleaning the sensors

With the globe, bonnet, and drawer removed, lean the unit backward so that you can look into the holes on the bezel to see each sensor. Using a clean, dry cotton swab, carefully clean the surface of each sensor to remove any dust.

How often do you have to change Litter-Robot 4? ›

We recommend that you change the Litter-Robot 3 carbon filter or Litter-Robot 4 carbon filter every month depending on how frequently your Litter-Robot gets used. This is really up to personal preference. If you are noticing a stronger odor coming from the unit, it may be time to change the carbon filter.
