Football Public Parking/FAQ
Single-game car parking permits for the public grass lots (located south of the stadium along S. 16th St.) will be available to purchase starting on DATE TBD
Pre-sale parking will be sold online only and will cease at Noon the Friday before each game OR when passes sell out. Pre-sold parking passes for public parking lots allow entry into one of the grass public parking lots, all will be first-come, first-served with pass holders choosing their lot upon arrival. If available, parking passes for the general public lots will be available on site the day of the game.
- Public single-game parking is $25/car. Passes purchased during the presale will be mobile passes only that will be scanned upon entry in the parking lots and valid only in grass parking.
- Public car parking opens six hours before kickoff on game day.
- All public car parking passes will be delivered on the Wednesday prior to each home game. Purchasers will receive an email upon delivery.
- In the event of inclement weather, Public lots may be unavailable. In this case, purchasers will be notified and a refund will be issued.
Due to the current construction taking place, VetMed parking lots are now included as part of our season donor parking. Because of this, single game RV parking will not be available via our department for the 2023 football season. We encourage you to purchase RV parking via off-site parking providers (no affiliation with ISU). Ballard Parking (also known as the Haunted Forest) is one such option. They can be contacted via telephone at 515-249-0553 or 319-350-1668. Others may be available as we get closer to the start of the football season. Once we have this information we will continue to share.
Handicapped parking is available in Lot S1 on a first-come, first-served basis on game day only (no presales) with a state issued handicapped parking pass. Parking in Lot S1 is $25/car, or a Cyclone Club parking pass may be presented to waive the parking fee. No RVs will be permitted in Lot S1.
Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted as forms of payment for both presale and game-day parking.
When do Public Parking lots open?
Public lots for cars six hours prior to kickoff, but not earlier than 6 a.m. on game day.

Where is handicapped parking available?
Handicapped parking is available in lot S1 on a first come first serve basis with a state issued handicapped parking pass. In addition, parking in that lot is $25 for a car or a Cyclone Club parking pass may be presented to waive the fee.

Public parking is $25 for cars.
If my vehicle is over 21ft, can I park in the public lots?
Vehicles parking in standard car stalls, including any attached accessories, must not exceed a maximum stall length of 21-feet and maximum width of 8-feet, 6-inches.
Where can I tailgate in the parking lots?
For car parking lots, tailgating activities are limited to in and around our vehicle without occupying any additional parking spaces or blocking the drive lane.
Am I allowed to have an open flame while tailgating?
No open flames permitted.
Are all parking passes mobile?
Yes, all parking passes are now mobile. Please be sure to save to your phone (i.e. Apple Wallet or Google Pay) to ensure the pass is accessible should internet be slow.
Can I buy parking passes on the day of the game?
As space permits, parking passes for the general public lots will be available to purchase at the lot (via credit card) on site the day of the game. To ensure you have a place to park on game day please click here to purchase a pre-sale parking pass.
Will the lots be open in the event of inclement or wet/snowy weather?
Our operations team closely monitors existing and forecasted weather conditions and how those conditions may impact our parking lots. We will share information regarding any lot closures on cyclones.com and via social media outlets. You will be refunded if you pre-purchased a public parking pass in the event of inclement weather.
Athletics reserves the right to close lots at any time due to unfavorable conditions. If grass parking lots are unavailable, general public parking is available on campus.
