Dr. Sunil Chaudhary, Consultant, Internal Medicine, Fortis Escorts, Okhla Road, New Delhi, explained, “There is no strict rule about whether one should drink water standing or sitting; the key is to stay hydrated. While traditional practices suggest potential digestive effects, scientific evidence is limited. Focus on maintaining hydration throughout the day rather than the posture while drinking.”
