Always a solid choice and this one particular is at a fantastic price point for what it brings to the table.
It’s easy to use, stylish, waterproof, comes with a handy travel case and has an impressive has 2-week battery life.
The brush will even break your 2-minute brush into 30-second segments, each highlighted with a slight change in the motor. This way you know you’re spending enough time in each quadrant.
But the important part- what makes this the best toothbrush for receding gums?
It’s the built-in pressure sensor.
If you push too hard when you brush, a red light will appear on the neck of the brush to indicate you could be damaging your teeth and causing gum recession. What’s more, it’ll turn itself down as a protective mechanism.
It’s like a shower that gets too hot, you’ll automatically jump out of the water. Your brush is giving the same protective response so you don’t have to think about it.
ISSUES WITH THE ORAL B PRO 2 TOOTHBRUSH FOR RECEDING GUMS
Honestly, there aren’t many.
Forget fancy features and gimmicky extras, this toothbrush does exactly what it needs to do for receding gums.
MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION
Yes, there are plenty of more expensive and best electric toothbrush for receding gums out, packed with plenty more features and at higher price points.

HOW CURAPROX TOOTHBRUSHES WORK
It’s easy to understand how ultra-soft bristles make the toothbrush for receding gums, but how on earth will it clean your teeth?

The secret is in the filaments.
They’re effective two-fold.

The main issue with the Curaprox brush, like any other manual toothbrush is it’s still technique dependant. You could have a toothbrush head the size of the moon, but if you’re not using it correctly then you won’t remove the plaque from your teeth.
You must brush your teeth systematically, and brush every surface of every toothif you want a proper clean. The toothbrush must be angled 45° into your gum line to clean this area, the most important if you have receding gums.
Secondly, because the brush is ultra-soft, it can wear out ultra quickly. If you normally change your toothbrush over 3-4 months, you’ll probably change this every 2-3 months.
MY PROFESSIONAL ADVICE
This is the best toothbrush for receding gums out there… if you’re certain you know you’re brushing your teeth properly.
If your hygienist shows plaque around your gumline every 6 months (virtual hand slap…naughty), then a manual toothbrush of any sort is probably not right for you.
But the real beauty of this brush, it doesn’t matter if you’re a 6 foot 6 bodybuilder with biceps that could crush an apple, there is no way you’re going to cause a further recession to your gums.
